That this Committee supports the installation of improved lighting including additional streetlights and the change to brighter lighting on Beechfield Close, Dublin 12.

REPORT:

Public lighting on Beechfield Close is provided by means of Council public lighting mounted on ESB Network poles. The installed lighting provides a reliable and economic lighting solution. The Council continually reviews technological advancements that can provide improvements in both operation and energy efficiency, however any operational saving so far demonstrated have not been at the level required for widespread replacement within the current budget.
