MOTION NO. 8

MOTION: Councillor C. Bond

In light of the approval by An Bord Pleanála of the Proposed Lidl store in Ballycullen, this council will arrange to have traffic management measures in place to attenuate the anticipated impact on traffic through Beechdale estate. As agreed in motions of previous meetings of this committee, this council is committed to fully consulting the residents of beechdale on the nature of such measures.

REPORT:

The implementation of any permission is a matter for applicant, subject to compliance with all conditions attached to the grant of permission. With reagrd to this particular proposal traffic generation would have formed an element of the assessment of the application. In the event that the proposed development is implemented and operational the Roads Department will monitor the situation.
