Parks
Questions
"To ask the Manager to inspect the trees at Washington Park and to report back on the validity of the Residents’ concerns as to the suitability of those trees in this small cul-de-sac, to assess the damage caused by over growing roots to the footpaths and where there problems are found to exist to provide a time frame for inclusion in the trees programme and to outline whether pruning or removal is recommended in the circumstances?"
"To ask the Manager to include (location and address supplied) the trees on this road for pruning - if possible in this years programme and if not, to prioritise them in the 2014 programme of works?"

"That the Manager give a report on the long delay of completion of the Ornamental Garden at Rathfarnham Castle. Could the Manager seek funding from the O.P.W. who manage Rathfarnham Castle which is adjacent?"
"That the Manager confirm what the up to date position is with regard to the reopening of the foot bridge linking Prospect Manor and Edmondstown Road; to remind the Manager of this Council’s commitment, given at the RAC meeting in November, that a temporary opening would be made, through the wall between Prospect Manor and Spring Vale in the event of no tangible progress having been achieved by the end of January 2013."
"That this Committee discuss with the aid of a report the status of the repair works on the Prospect Manor bridge and to detail the expected timelines for the completion of the required works."
"That the Manager arrange in consultation with traders representatives on suitable village location for a Christmas tree well in advance of Christmas 2013."
"That the Manager survey the silver birch trees in Washington Park. The trees were newly planted in year 2000 and are now growing too large for the road. The tree roots are damaging walls and damaging footpaths. The trees are unsuitable for a small road."
Environment
Questions
"To ask the Manager that the area around Ballyroan House be cleaned up. It is an eye sore for residents?"

"That the Environment Department give an update on the site visit to the yard and sheds next to house “Crosty” at Cruagh."
"That the Manager provide a comprehensive report on the state and condition of Ballyroan House (requests having been previously made by me through Membersnet), that the Manager comment on whether or not this site might be considered by the Council as one suitable for inclusion as a derelict site, having regard to its state and condition and to the this Council’s long history with the owner with regard to the matter. That the Manager outline the historical importance of this site given the fact that it is a Protected Structure and to comment on the Council’s willingness to progress with an application to have the site declared derelict and to discuss what possible uses this site could be used for if the Council were to be successful with such an application."
"That the Manager provide details of the number of dog fouling bins in the Rathfarnham ward. Please also confirm the number of dog licences issued in the ward. That the Manager provide this Committee with details of the cost of individual bins and whether or not there is a provision in any Department’s budget for the inclusion of extra bins going forward. Is it possible to micro-chip such bins to allow for efficient emptying of such bins? I would ask that as part of the Tidy-Towns Initiative currently underway within the County that there be provision made for extra bins to adequately cater for dog deposits. Currently what you have are law-abiding citizens collecting their dog poop in plastic (biodegradable) bags and some of those same citizens being forced to dump their dog’s deposit in the bushes of our parks and streets because of the inadequacy of bins. I would ask that Management from across all department including Parks, Roads & Environmental Services to provide a joined up approach to this issue, assuming of course that such an approach does not already exist."

Roads
Questions
"To ask the Manager to resolve the dangerous footpath conditions caused by water in wet and icy weather draining from the school playground behind Pearse Bro. Pk. onto the footpath beside 40 Pearse Bro. Pk.?"
"To ask the Manager to contact the ESB to request to have the ESB pole outside 8/9 Washington Park repainted?"
"To ask the Manager to put in place warning ramp signs on both sides of the Firhouse Road to inform motorists that there are ramps on Knocklyon Road at Lansdowne Park."
"To ask the Manager to consider adding a pedestrian activation option at the traffic lights linking Ann Devlin Road and Ballyroan Road?"
"To ask the Manager to provide feedback as to the progress made by the Council since receipt by a Resident of the following request for service. This request was received over 2 years ago and remains outstanding. I have copied the seminal point as follows: “ could you please re-paint the Stop lines at the Butterfield Drive/Crescent junction. These lines have not been re-painted for years , and have been tarmac-ed not so long ago, but the obscured lines were not re-painted then, or since. Due to parked cars on both of the above roads, visibility at this junction is restricted to the point where there have been many 'near misses', due to drivers ignoring the Stop signs and lines (I was 'near-missed' twice recently). The Stop signs here are badly in need of a coat of paint”. It appears that that request was send through and acknowledged by SDCC on or about the 11th of February 2011 and still remains unresolved. Inaction or inefficiencies like this will not be tolerated in the current climate of tax payers having to pay property tax?"
"To ask the Manager when it is anticipated that the new pedestrian lights linking Tara Hill estate and the Grange Road will be fully operational?"
"To ask the Manager to confirm whether or not the car park and the footpath adjacent to the shops at Rosemount Shopping Centre is in charge?"
