Cathaoirleach’s Business

"That the Manager give a report on the long delay of completion of the Ornamental Garden at Rathfarnham Castle. Could the Manager seek funding from the O.P.W. who manage Rathfarnham Castle which is adjacent?"

REPORT:

Substantial progress has been made on the construction of the Ornamental Garden at Rathfarnham Castle in a time of severe financial restrictions.  To have the garden open to the public in 2013 the following works are required to be completed:

• Paving
• Installation of gates
• Planting

It is planned to complete these works and to have the garden open to the public by June 2013.
