"Could the Chief Executive inform this Area Committee if the Council has Building Insurance in place for all its Housing stock and if so, can tenants use this Insurance, through Housing Maintenance Inspectors, to claim where works are required to repair ceilings and tracing of leaks, where works have been carried out to adapt bathrooms etc, at the tenants or previous tenants own expense and Housing Maintenance refuse to carry out repairs."

"Could the Chief Executive please give an update regarding the Designated Trading Areas and costs in Tymon Park. Has there been any expressions of interests for the Tea/Coffee concession in Tymon Park, Tymon North entrance and could an explanation be given why the permit fee for Ice/Confectionery permit is €10,000 in Tymon Wellington entrance as opposed to €5000 at the Tymon, Tymon North entrance."

That the manager arranges to plant suitable trees on the south side of Cromwellsfort Road to replace those which were cut down some years ago, noting that there has been significant planting recently of trees in Kimmage Road West which could be continued on into Cromwellsfort Road.

To ask the manager to please inspect and carry out appropriate works in relation to the trees in Boden Park as soon as possible, as the roots have caused the footpaths and roadway to lift and break in some areas, and some of the trees are of such a height, that the residents are concerned that if they come down that they will cause severe damage, as has happened previously.

That this Council agrees that Bins will be emptied in Our Parks regularly at weekends and Bank Holidays and temporary bins will be put out on these days to accommodate these busy days , We acknowledge the parks as a vital part of our amenities within our county.

That the Chief Executive reports on the availability of interest-free/Islamic financing models supported by SDCC in terms of its own incremental tenant purchase schemes and Rebuilding Ireland Home Loan schemes; and, if facilitating same for residents of our county requires Departmental approval, to write to the Minister for Housing asking for such schemes to be facilitated at the earliest opportunity, with all due diligence applied.
