That this Council set up an information drive for the county to encourage citizens to return their bulk packaging to the point of purchase and encourage REPAK and all commercial businesses to participate in a package reduction scheme which will reduce the amount of waste and reduce the amount of costs to the local environment and business.

"To ask the Manager if he would make representations to Dublin Bus concerning the need to establish a bus shelter on that part of Tallaght Road directly opposite the entrance to Bancroft Estate, and given the large number of users who require this service, if the matter could be progressed between South Dublin County Council and Dublin Bus, to ensure that a bus shelter is erected, and if he could make a statement on the matter?"

That in the absence of the promised buses this Council approves the limited use of empty bus lanes for ordinary car drivers at peak hour traffic given the fact that we have lost half our road space and have not received the promised buses.
