That the Council contact Dublin Bus with a view to relocating the Bus stops at Coldcut/Cloverhill (1) The outward one to between the Cloverhill junction and the Bridge and (2) the City bound to the Bus By-Pass at the Cloverhill junction.
Roads
Questions
To ask the Manager to report further on works pending, including time-scales for these works, on the restoration of footpaths in Lucan Village following my earlier representations. These footpaths, many of which are now in dangerous state of repair, are presenting a safety threat to Local Residents who use Lucan Village. A number of accidents have been reported to me where residents have tripped on broken and dislodged slabs, including Tuesday 4th April 2006, where it was reported to me that a resident who is heavily pregnant, tripped and was taken to hospital.
That the Manager would provide an up-to-date report on the installation of a public street light that I have previously requested at the cul-de-sac at the rear of house no.s 10-11 Cannonbrook Park and adjacent to the lands which are the cause of ongoing anti-social behavior in the local residential community.
To ask the Manager to examine the possibility of introducing a 3 ton limit along Ballyowen Road and St. Loman’s Road given the increase in heavy vehicles using this road as a shortcut as feared by residents when the road was initially joined up to the Fonthill Road.
To ask the Manager are there any proposals for ramps at St. Marks Green, Clondalkin?
To ask the Manager to report on the proposed location for the entrance to the recently approved Coldcut development and to explain how it will enhance traffic movement in the area and in particular how it will effect access/egress for Whitethorn Estate and congestion at the Cloverhill/Coldcut junction and to indicate what steps are open to us as a Committee to ensure that this won't become a traffic hazard.

That the Council immediately agrees to take the appropriate steps to replace the planned wall and fence along the boundary of Woodville Estate with a solid stone faced wall the height of the proposed fencing in order to provide residents with protection in excess of the minimum required by An Bord Pleanála.
"That this Committee recommends to South Dublin County Council that no land from Corkagh Park be taken for a park and ride facility and that such land be obtained elsewhere."
That the Council carry out a survey of the Back Lane network in Palmerstown with a view to securing them in such a manner that they will no longer be available for illegal dumping and/or for unsocial activities as the present situation is a source of ongoing and severe trauma for adjacent residents as well as a drain on scarce Council and Garda resources and frustrating for the whole community.
That this Committee calls upon the Manager to detail the development levies received for road enhancement works from the developer of the St. Loman’s site and to immediately provide funding to the Roads Department to provide a traffic lights junction at the Fonthill Roundabout in line with the EIS carried out in respect of the application.
That the Manager would report in full on the recent increased traffic congestion on the N4 for city bound traffic for motorists. Specifically would the Manager report on the negative impact for Lucan and Palmerstown motorists as a result of the recently introduced traffic lane management on the M50 at the Westlink Toll Bridge and will the Manager agree to make further representations on behalf of the residents in Lucan and Palmerstown owing to the disadvantaged position they now find themselves in.
That this Council makes appropriate provision to ensure a suitable footpath is provided the entire length of the Newcastle Road from
That the Manager present a report on the road plans for the Newcastle Village area and in particular address the following in terms of delivery :-
a) The road proposed through Greenogue and on to the Aylmer/Peamount Roads.
b) The main road artery through the residentially zoned lands to the south of the Village and whether or not it will be completed in advance of the new housing.
That the Manager would report in detail on the Schools Safety Report he agreed to my request at the Road's Department Area Committee Meeting on the 17th January 2006 in the Council Chamber, for schools in the Lucan, Palmerstown ann Clondalkin areas, including the special consultation process the Manager has embarked on with these schools.
Development
Questions
To ask the Manager to provide an up-to-date report on the protection of the lands at the cul-de-sac at the rear of house nos 10-11 Cannonbrook Park, including the rebuilding of the boundary wall, the clearing and levelling of these lands. The lack of such protection is a matter that I have been pursuing for a lengthy period owing to the ongoing anti-social behaviour taking place at this location and the consequental damage to the the quality of life of the local residential community.
To ask the Manager to examine the ownership of the portion of land at The Oval, Palmerstown between the junction and the filling station and to state whether or not it is in the ownership of the Council.
To ask the Manager to secure from trespass any Council land that adjoins Adamstown and Westbury, Hillcrest and Meadowview Grove estates.

Questions

That the Manager ensures that all of Fforster estate is completed in line with the relevant planning permission and that the road in Fforster Crescent be properly surfaced immediately.
That the Council draw up an Area Action Plan for the Palmerstown Village area incorporating the VL Byrne site and also all of the "Old Lucan Road" and the estates off it-both residential, recreational and commercial, and making provision for the up-grading of the Kennelsfort Rd/N4 Intersection, prior to entertaining any planning application for the area. The availability of such an important site becoming available now for re-development opens up opportunities including the provision of social and affordable housing for the already over-developed community of Palmerstown and in the context that whatever development emerges at the VL Byrne site will define Palmerstown for at least the next fifty years.
That the Manager would report in full on the Planning Application for temporary use of Weston Aerodrome as a Park and Ride Facility for this year's Ryder Cup Golf Competition. At the April '06 Planning Department Meeting of the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee, the Manager had not as yet been able to consider all aspects of this Planning Application, particularly with a view to ascertaining as to whether the Planning Application is in conflict with any legal issue(s) as set down by the High Court in its Judgment of 28th April 2005.
