Particularly in relation to the proposed demolition of a perfectly habitable house, the location of the site at a junction, the narrowness of the road, the increase in traffic, the lack of provision of parking - no visitor parking on site - balconies overlooking adjacent properties, the distance from the house next door, the proposed density and the unsuitability of this proposed development for this quiet residential area when decisions are being made on this application."

That the Manager would bring forward a report for discussion on what initial procedures are required to begin a process to establish a Town Council for Lucan.  Given the significant increase in the population and needs of Lucan in recent years, that this Committee supports the establishment of the Lucan Town Council.

That this Committee discuss pedestrian access from estates along Griffeen Avenue, Lucan (Old Forge, Grange Manor, Haydens Park, Tullyhall, Rossberry, Oldbridge, John's Bridge, Griffeen Glen and Moyglass) to bus stops on the new Adamstown Relief Road, with the aid of a report provided by the Manager.

"That this committee discusses the issue of replacing a bungalow with blocks of apartments in an old residential area and the consequent knock on effect on residents and services. That application no. SD06A/0878 on Limekiln Drive/Close be taken as an example with a view to ascertaining current policy and if necessary a review of current policy."

"That this Committee recommends that the right turn arrow be restored/replaced on the lights at Templeogue Bridge  i.e. turning into Cypress Grove Road – it is very dangerous at the moment and I quote a resident “ Most drivers however end up breaking the lights when they change, as that's the only way they can turn”.
