To ask the Manager to include in the footpath programme the need for a proper kerb and footpath from Esker Lane junction to the entrance of Ballydowd Grove. Currently students from the local school and mothers with buggies have to walk on a busy main road due to a car dealership, parking cars for sale on the footpath and commuters using the road for “Park and Ride” parking.

That this Committee asks that South Dublin County Council removes the 'pyramid' at the top of Castle Park, Clondalkin, along with the plinths on New Road at the exit to the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

That this Committee notes that, despite information provided in replies/reports at previous meetings, there is still serious concerns amongst  residents in Moyglass Estate, Lucan about the measures implemented to ensure that there is no significant noise pollution in the part of the estate bounding the Outer ring Road, particularly where the boundary is  a low wall with railings, and requests that the Manager arranges for officials of the Roads Department meet with representatives of Moyglass Residents Association to discuss their concerns, and that the Council be prepared to implement additional measures if they are required.

That Management provide the elected members with regular updates on the M50 works including-

1.    An opportunity to have an input into traffic management

2.   Regular reports on noise and air pollution monitoring

3.   Advance notice of major disruption or alterations to traffic flow

4.  A brief note giving a summary of (unplanned or unexpected) disruptions (to traffic or utilities or severe pollution as happened recently at Holliville)

That the Manager will conduct a noise pollution survey at Moy Glas Road and Moy Glas Lawn facing onto the Outer Ring Road. Complaints have been made regarding the increase in noise levels since the opening of this road. What is the current situation concerning noise mitigation measures or lack thereof around this area specifically. An EIS study of noise levels would indicate they are breached.
