Roads
Questions
To ask the Manager given his undertaking to review boundary treatments along the Outer Ring Road post-completion, if he will outline how this review will be performed, by whom, what criteria will be used and what the timescale will be for review and implementation of any additional measures?
To ask the Manager to include in the footpath programme the need for a proper kerb and footpath from Esker Lane junction to the entrance of Ballydowd Grove. Currently students from the local school and mothers with buggies have to walk on a busy main road due to a car dealership, parking cars for sale on the footpath and commuters using the road for “Park and Ride” parking.
To ask the Manager for a timescale to carry out repairs to the roadway in front of Lucan Road Cottages, Palmerstown as agreed in November 2006 to rectify same?
To thank the Manager for agreeing to replace the existing fencing as part of the Hayden's Lane road widening works, which will assist in restoring the quality of life of the local residential community, which has been disrupted since these works have begun?
To ask the Manager for an updated report on the schedule for the completion of works on the Outer Ring Road (Phase 2), including tree planting?

That this Committee asks that South Dublin County Council removes the 'pyramid' at the top of Castle Park, Clondalkin, along with the plinths on New Road at the exit to the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
That Management provide the elected members with regular updates on the M50 works including-
1. An opportunity to have an input into traffic management
2. Regular reports on noise and air pollution monitoring
3. Advance notice of major disruption or alterations to traffic flow
4. A brief note giving a summary of (unplanned or unexpected) disruptions (to traffic or utilities or severe pollution as happened recently at Holliville)
and that the matter be fully discussed.
That the Manager will conduct a noise pollution survey at Moy Glas Road and Moy Glas Lawn facing onto the Outer Ring Road. Complaints have been made regarding the increase in noise levels since the opening of this road. What is the current situation concerning noise mitigation measures or lack thereof around this area specifically. An EIS study of noise levels would indicate they are breached.
That the Manager would agree to conduct a survey of estates in the Lucan area to assess what estates have no name signage and to install necessary estate signs where required.
This Committee recommends that South Dublin County Council undertakes a programme of works:-
