That this Committee deplores the littered state of many of the laneways in the Dublin 12 area of the County, many of which have served as the location for significant acts of 'fly-tipping' in recent months and years; that the Committee seeks further resourcing of the litter warden and inspection services with regard to this dangerous and antisocial practice; and that the Committee asks the Manager to prepare a report on the possibility of a Community Employment or other scheme which would engage local people in laneway cleaning and upkeep as an addition to the existing environmental services.

That the Manager outlines the savings to the Council in the Tallaght area through the removal of weekend bin collections when bank holidays occur.
"That this Committee discuss (once again) the requirement for a lift at Rathfarnham Shopping Centre asking the shopping centre management for a further report on same. Elderly; prams; etc. have difficulty accessing facilities such as doctors on first floor."
That the Manager gives a clear undertaking to make the provision for bottle/clothes banks in the North Clondalkin area. Presently only one such facility exists. There is a need for a second or a third bring back facility in either the Neilstown shops or Rowlagh shops areas.

"To ask the Manager to cut back the grass overgrowing onto the footpath on the open space on Anne Devlin Road and Ballyroan Road opposite the turn to Marian Road which has become slippery and difficult for senior citizens to walk on?"
To ask the Manager to investigate the possibility of installing a pedestrian crossing at the Knockmeenagh/St.Brigid's Road end of New Road, Clondalkin to assist both the very young and elderly residents in the area to cross what is a very busy and fast road?
"To ask the Manager to prune the trees and clear the footpaths of moss in Dodder Grove, Dodder road where there are a number of seniors living?"
"That the Manager presents a comprehensive report of the Housing Department's management of outstanding issues relating to the social housing construction to the rear of Grangebrook; to include the Council's handling of serious anti-social behaviour; tenancy of the new homes; measures to remove large mounds; boundary security treatement etc. and to make a full report on the matter."
"That the Council consider allowing the residents of Willbrook Park, in the absence of being granted permission by the Council to incorporating the section of laneway into their gardens, to convert this space into allotment space for the residents of houses 2-14."

This Council Committee calls on the Manager to give a report outlining the financial costs last year in clean up bills in this area following Halloween and outline what new measures or approaches he intends to take this year to reduce the environmental and social cost of many of these unwanted activities.

This Committee calls on the Manager in view of ongoing complaints regarding incursions by bikes and quads on football pitches in and around St Marks GAA club and bearing in mind the added time and financial costs involved in repairing the damage caused by these illegal incursions, can he agree to look at new measures, and liaise with the Garda Authorities and discuss ways of tackling and eliminating this and other similar problems in the area.
