That this Committee requests that the Manager responsible restore the practice of supporting community groups, who are prepared to voluntarily clean up their area, especially by providing them with protective gloves, bags, etc.  The Committee notes that such support and investment has a multiplier effect and cost-effectiveness way beyond the small investment by this Council in the activity.
