MOTION NO. 10

MOTION: Councillor S. Crowe

That this Council Committee calls on the Manager to give a report outlining the difficulties some households experienced during the lack of water pressure and if a review will be carried out to investigate the difficulties experienced by tenants in three storey or more buildings with a view to putting in place new measures to facilitate these tenants in the event of the possibility of a future water shortage crisis.

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council’s Water Maintenance Section is unaware of any house in its administrative area  being without water following the lifting of the water restrictions. The Water Maintenance Section employs three plumbers. 

If these householders are local authority tenants, they should contact the Housing Maintenance Section who will investigate the matter.  If not, they should contact their Management Companies.
