To ask the Manager, further to the reply to my motion at the September meeting, when the new ‘kissing-gate’ is to be installed at the wooded entrance to the park on Ballyowen Lane south of Droim na Coille, and to also ask if a further 'kissing-gate' can be installed at the pedestrian entrance next to the main vehicular access to the park opposite Cluain Rí?
To ask the Manager to make available a map indicating all roads classified as ‘Distributor Roads’ in the Lucan electoral area?
That this committee requests the Manager to arrange with Fingal County Council for a meeting of the Joint Liffey Valley Advisory Committee, to include all members of this committee, to be convened within the next two months. The purpose of this meeting should be to facilitate discussion on efforts to progress implementation of the ‘Towards a Liffey Valley Park’ report, and to consider the future role, if any, of the Joint Advisory Committee in the context of this report.
That this Committee requests the Manager to present a detailed report for discussion on the methodologies and criteria used in assessing requests for the installation of signalised pedestrian crossings, including details of any statutory provisions and national or international best-practice guidelines etc. underpinning these methodologies and criteria. In reporting on this matter the Manager is further requested to make specific reference to the decision not to install a signalised pedestrian crossing on Griffeen Avenue at Oldbridge estate as per my recent request due to ‘a warrant not being reached’. The provision of a signalised pedestrian crossing at this location has been a long held objective of the local community in Oldbridge, Rossberry, Tullyhall and Hayden’s Park estates, from where many pedestrians, including hundreds of school children have to cross the busy Griffeen Avenue to access Griffeen Valley Educate Together School, Griffeen Youth Centre, the local shops and bus-stops.
To ask the Manager to inform the members, how much lands, and real estate properties in the county will come under the framework of the new NAMA legislation?
To ask the Manager to improve the street lighting into the Rathcoole Community Centre please?
"To ask the Manager to arrange that the steps in the cul-de-sac leading into the car-park at *(address supplied) be made safe, in response to a pedestrian falling?"
