QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager to provide details of traffic calming schemes completed in the past five years which involved construction of ramps and/or speed cushions and to advise on the current cost of constructing ramps and speed cushions?

REPLY:

Construction of the Council’s traffic calming programme commenced in 2004 (Area Committees as pre June 2009).  Details of the schemes completed to date are as follows:-

 Standard Ramp            €4,000

Bus Ramp                    €7,000

Bus Cushion                 €3,000 - no longer being constructed - less effective.
