That this Committee calls on the Manager to investigate as part of a County Road Safety initative the possibility of the introduction of a safer pilot cycle track design that physically separates cyclists from other road users and preferably near a school in this Committee area that has a high use of bicycle users.

That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on how this Council supports schools in the County, including schools that make a particular effort on environmental matters such as reducing, reusing and recycling. Would the Manager also report on how the Council can continue to support and encourage schools, including children, students, teachers and parents who participate in such school projects and lead by great example.

To ask the Manager what plans there are to resurface the car park area in the Lucan Sports and Leisure Centre? This is the cause of great concern to local residents, particularly in wet weather when large pools of water cause great inconvenience. In addition would the Manager report on the drainage at the same location for the very same reasons?
To ask the Manager if he will write to the Regional Manager of FáS requesting that a FáS official would meet with Lucan and Clondalkin Councillors (at a pre-Area Committee meeting) to brief Councillors and discuss measures being implemented by FáS to provide training opportunities for unemployed young people on the Live Register at the Clondalkin Office (including residents of Lucan and Clondalkin)?
To ask the Manager to outline the most up to date situation regarding concerns among allotment plot holders at Mill Lane, Palmerstown due to a forthcoming increase in fees payable to the Council. Will the Manager also make a statement on the matter?
To ask the Manager to update on plans for the provision of additional community facilities and recreational programmes in the Balgaddy area?
To ask the Manager to report on the number of units, per estate, to be partially or fully refurbished in the Lucan area during 2010?

To ask the Manager what assistance South Dublin County Council can provide to residents associations in the Lucan area who wish to purchase and erect signage relating to littering and dog-littering in their estates?
To ask the Manager to confirm that he has received correspondence, by registered mail, from the residents’ action group opposed to the proposed location of homeless accommodation in Liscarne Gardens, Clondalkin and to report on when he will be replying to this correspondence?
