COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE (1)
Monday, October 18, 2010
MOTION NO. 7
MOTION: Councillor C. King
That this Committee calls on the Manager to complete the works at Donomore Park where the re-inforced wall was built at Killinarden Park by installing railings to prevent easy access to the road by anti-social elements who have set fire to bins and cars and caused untold damage to property belonging to residents.
REPORT:
The Estate Management Section has sought quotations for additional railings at this location. The area is approximately 80 yards long and a rough estimate of €12,000 was received for the erection of railings. However it is unlikely we will be in a position to carry out this work in the near future due to financial constraints and other areas that might have a greater demand for the available scare resources.
The Council did in fact higher the wall along the boundary to Killinarden Park where it meets 177 Donomore Park.
