"That this Council write to Dublin Bus to ask about the review of the 15B route, and that residents of Whitechurch estate are considered. It was moved away from Whitechurch estate in order to service Stocking Wood and residents of Whitechurch are now left only with the 61. That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to use the resources available to him to (A) remove the large amount of litter that is lodged in the stream in Tymon Park. The particular black spot is located between the two bridges on the Tymon side of the Park and (B) resurface the pathway on both sides of the pedestrian bridge, including the surface of the bridge.
At a previous Area meeting I submitted a motion to ask the Chief Executive to arrange inspection of the pathway leading from The Park Millbrook Lawns to the Seskinview Road. While some works were carried out I have been contacted by residents to complain that the area has now become totally un-passable. I am therefore re-submitting the same motion to this committee ans would ask that considerable upgrades take place in this area.
Residents have complained that the pathway which leads from the bottom of Park through to the Seskin View Road has become overgrown and during the winter months is totally impassable due to flooding (Many people use this to access the 77A bus and also parents with prams going to and from the shops). I attended a meeting at the site with residents and this is clearly the case. They have also complained that the walls surrounding the grass area have become dangerous as there are holes in them and they could come down on a child if they climbed up on them. Can you arrange to have this area inspected and let me local residents know what works will be completed to improve the pathway and make the walls safe?
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to remove the graffiti, recently painted on the wall at Glenview that fronts onto the Tallaght Road. This location is part of the approach to St Aengus Parish, the National Basketball Arena and to Tallaght Village and is an ongoing eyesore.
