MOTION NO.3

MOTION: Councillor M. Devine

That this Committee agree to a major facelift of the areas at the Whitestown Stream- Balrothery, Seskin View and the Avonmore section which will extend and enhance the Dodder Greenway Route.

REPORT:

When proposals for the development of the Green Routes in this area are being advanced this Department will contribute to the design process. Any such proposal should enhance the area through which it traverses and this has been the case to date with all of the recent cycle and walking routes constructed by the Council through open spaces and parks.

In the event of other upgrading opportunities in this area being contemplated, the Council will also endeavour to include for consideration the enhancement of the areas mentioned in the motion.
