“That this Committee asks that the Council management explore the possibility of exchanging a portion of the Council owned land on Belgard Square North (the former site of the St Maelruan’s Field halting site) with the lands in private ownership at the former Esso Garage in Tallaght Village. Should this proposal be rejected by the owners of the Esso site the Council owned lands at Maelruan’s Field should be retained in public ownership and used for the provision of community facilities including a public plaza and a public park. This Committee also asks that the Council executive investigate using these public lands in Tallaght Town Centre to facilitate any long standing existing community organisations from Tallaght Village that wish to relocate to larger more modern accommodation in the Town Centre.”

“To ask the Manager if he would establish as a matter of priority, a road sign on Ballymount Road in Kingswood Heights, erected near the bend by the Kelland Homes office on Ballymount Road, identifying the presence of the cemetery, as traffic coming from the Belgard Road direction, along Ballymount Road, find it difficult to identify the exact entrance to the cemetery in Kingswood Heights, and if he will make a statement on the matter?”
“To ask the Manager if he recognises that the measures deployed by South Dublin County Council on Mayberry Road in April of this year, have resulted in significant traffic delays to residents in the Kilnamanagh area, and have significantly increased the length of time that motorists in this area have to endure before accessing either the Belgard Road or the Greenhills Road, if his Department can now bring forward proposals to alleviate these delays, and to allow additional space on Mayberry Road to be created so as to improve traffic flows in the area, and if he will make a statement on the matter.”
