COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE 2
Monday, October 1st 2007
QUESTION NO 12
QUESTION: Councillor K. Warren
“To ask the Manager if he recognises that the measures deployed by South Dublin County Council on Mayberry Road in April of this year, have resulted in significant traffic delays to residents in the Kilnamanagh area, and have significantly increased the length of time that motorists in this area have to endure before accessing either the Belgard Road or the Greenhills Road, if his Department can now bring forward proposals to alleviate these delays, and to allow additional space on Mayberry Road to be created so as to improve traffic flows in the area, and if he will make a statement on the matter.”
REPLY:
Measures introduced on Mayberry Road are not for Traffic Calming but to improve road safety under a scheme to regulate traffic movement as approved and funded by the NRA under their Low Cost Safety Improvement Programme. Traffic flows in this area will be monitored.
