To ask the Manager to agree to upgrade the footpath between Palmerstown Woods and the Cloverhill Railway Bridge, ensuring the following:

1. That the bushes/ briars are cut back at regular intervals.

2. To improve the path at the entrance to the truck park to ensure greater safety of pedestrians.

3. To place a protective barrier on the footpath opposite the exit from the IDA Industrial Estate as trucks exiting that estate sometimes mount the curb.

To ask the Manager, given the fact that South Dublin County Council has a population of  238,835, which makes it the third largest administrative area in Ireland &  given the Garda numbers for Clondalkin Garda station, Ronanstown Garda station,  & Lucan Garda station are currently at a strength of  81 , 80  &  70 members of the force respectively (statistics taken from the P.D publication,  The Dublin Democrat Dublin Mid West Edition Nov.2005)  which equates to approx 77 gardaí on duty per shift,  what is the current number of residents within these Garda stations policing boundaries.

" To ask the Manager to have arranged the re-scheduling of the refuse collection for Westpark estate in view of the fact that despite the best efforts of the traffic wardens  to prevent parking by non-residents at the front of the estate , refuse trucks have found it impossible on some occassions to access the entire estate after 9-9.30am and as a result a number of resident's wheelie bins were left uncollected in recent weeks and will the Manager make a statement on what has been an on-going problem in Westpark estate?."
