• Three Year Capital Programme 2007 - 2009

That this Committee recommends that the Council puts in the missing piece of the Lucan/ N4 QBR at the Woodies Junction where the Old Lucan Road exits onto the N4, to improve the flow of buses at this point, and that if necessary the Council acquire any necessary small piece of land to carry out the works.

That this Council discuss, with the aid of a detailed report from the Manager, the readiness of South Dublin County Council to deal with cryptosporidium. How old are the facilities? Have the Council's efforts to guarantee clean water been frustrated and if so how ?

"Following agreement at the March 2007 Organisation, Procedures and Finance meeting that this Committee now calls upon the Manager to write to Dublin City Council to immediately initiate arrangements to convene a joint meeting of the Area Committees of Terenure / Rathfarnham and Dublin South Central to address an agenda of items specifically including traffic arrangements in the Templeogue / Terenure and Crumlin / Walkinstown areas."

" To ask the Manager to have arranged the erection of anti-dog dirt posters at the area in the vicinity of Avonmore Park & Bolbrook Grove?."

" To ask the Manager to have arranged a major clean-up of the area adjacent to the hill at Avonmore Park, which is a location of recurring dumping and will the Manager please note that this issue was raised via a written question in February, 2007?."

"That this Committee calls on the Manager to provide a report outlining in as much detail as possible at this stage what impact either positive or negative the proposed Luas extension to citywest will have on existing residential communities along the route such as Kilmartin Estate,  Fettercairn in terms of land aquisition etc."

Following my Motion Passed at the Area Committee Meeting on 23rd January January '07, including a request that the Manager "conduct a feasibility study", to assess what lands were available in the North Clondalkin/Bawnogue areas to facilitate a new Horse Project, and the subsequent launching of the Sean Quinn Horse Project on 27th January 2007, that the Manager would announce details of how this matter will be progressed to the next stage.

Following my earlier representations, including my Motion to the March '07 Area Committee Meeting, representations made by the Moy Glas Residents Association and the report from the Environmental Health Officer in her letter of 3rd January 2007 to the Moy Glas Residents Association and referring to her letter to this Council: "I have written to the Environmental Services Department recommending that the bottle banks are moved to a more secure and supervised site. If they agree to this, this should eliminate the broken glass and dumping issues. It may also remove some of the anti social behaviour as the bins would no longer provide a screen or shelter.".  that this Committee requests the Manager to find an alternative and more suitable site for this bottle bank.
