To ask the Manager in light of the decision by Dublin City Council to vary their County Development Plan so as to radically increase the permissible size of apartments within the city area, and also to improve the quality and standard of such apartments, if the Manager now believes that a similar amendment to the Development Plan of South Dublin County Council is now required, so as to improve the general quality and standard of apartments in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area, and if he will make a statement on the matter?
This Committee calls for an explanation as to why the promised works for Killinniny Tower have not progressed.
That this committee supports the upgrading of the children's playground in the Tallaght end of Tymon Park

That the Manager provides a detailed report with respect to the provision of a new community center/space in Kiltalown as agreed during the most recent Part 8 process to provide infill housing at locations on Kiltalown Park and Kiltalown Green, to indicate what delays have occurred to date and how the manager proposes to proceed with this project without any further delays.
That the Manager would present an up-to-date report for discussion on Lucan's 1st Youth Café scheduled to be opened soon in the Griffeen Local Centre. Would the Manager also report on what additional funding can be sourced to assist in enhancing the range of services and equipment, that would be beneficial in making our Youth Café even more successful and sustainable, for example the Health Services Executive as in the case of The Gaf Youth Cafe in Galway.
"That the Manager, in order to meet the legitimate concerns of local residents in houses along Taylor's Lane arising from the construction of and close proximity to the Green Route;
examines all possible budget headings, such as Village Improvement Schemes Funding, in the context of the Ballyoden Village Plan,
to draw down monies to provide masonry walls to the front of houses at Newbrook Estate,
at the top of Glendoher with its junction with Taylor's Lane,
and monies for a formal masonry entrance to Moyville Lawns,
and to replace/and or improve the boundary wall at Pearse/Palmer Park adjacent to the open space,
in order to ameliorate the impact of the Green Route construction on these residential areas and in the context of creating a new and vibrant village environment."

"That the Manager give a full detailed Report as to when the proposed improvement works will be carried out on the frontage of No.2 to 16 Hillsbrook Avenue as requested by me some years ago and which approval was granted and to state if the Residents have been contracted."
This Committee demands the immediate opening of the community facility on Deerpark Road.
"That the Manager re-examine the sequencing of traffic at Crumlin Cross. Motorists do not have sufficient time to make a right hand turn from St. Agnes Road to Cromwellsford Road and are fearful that accidents will occur as neither the motorists or pedestrians are best served by the current sequencing. (Ref: Motion 7, TRAC, March 6th, 2007)."
That the Manager undertakes a significant review of all estates in the Jobstown area with a view to providing a significant refurbishment programme along the lines of regeneration programmes undertaken elsewhere in the city.
"That this Committee recommends that we discuss with the aid of plans the proposed parking provision at Pearse Br. Park and Palmer Park, this has been ongoing for some years and some of the elderly residents - are having great difficulty exiting/access to residences, this is not acceptable. Ensuring that plans are agreed with residents association prior to execution as previous plans as drawn up were totally unacceptable."
"That the Manager examine the situation pertaining on Wainsfort Crescent in relation to students from the adjacent college parking their cars all day on this narrow residential road. Every week the bin men leave notices on the students' cars asking them not to park on the road on bin day. Approaches have been made to the school to provide parking for their students on the school grounds and a suggestion made that alternative parking should be sourced at St. Mary's Rugby Club opposite the school. Residents are being inconvenienced by cars blocking the road and services not gaining access?"
Following my earlier representations to have a traffic survey carried out in Lucan, including my requests for the introduction of a 3 Weight Ton Restriction in Lucan Village, and the Manager's Report to my most recent Motion that "The Council has appointed a consultant engineer to examine the traffic situation in Lucan Village on foot of the recent survey. The consultant's report is not yet finished. As soon as the report is available a further report will be brought to this Committee.", that the Manager would now present this report for a comprehensive discussion and that he would set out his plans and intentions, including details of the relevant procedures, time-scale etc., for the introduction of a 3 Ton Weight Restriction in Lucan Village.
That this Committee requests the Manager to present a detailed report for discussion on the boundaries to be installed, including reinstatement of trees and shrubs, at residential areas in Lucan and Palmerstown as part of the N4 widening scheme. It is of great importance to local residents that there be full and proper boundary treatment installed, including proper reinstatement of trees and shrubs, to protect the visual amenity and health and safety of the local community, as well as protecting residential amenity from increased noise and dust pollution resulting from the N4 widening scheme, unlike, for example, the less than satisfactory finishing in the case of the Outer Ring Road.

"To ask the Manager to confirm when it is proposed to commence the restoration/re-building of Killinniny Tower, given that this work has been promised for many years and that funding has been committed in the Parks Works Programme in 2007 and in previous years but no substantive works have been carried out?"
