That this Committee calls on the Manager responsible to have the grass cut and maintained to a satisfactory condition on the approach roads to Palmerstown and therefore this County on the N4 and Cloverhill Road.  The grass verges on both roads are in an appalling state (June 1) and the median on the N4 is already (June 1) out of control.

That this Area Committee, on foot of the decision by the elected members of South Dublin County Council to amend the draft Development Plan to omit the long-term local road objective “Esker Lane to Esker Meadow View”, requests that the Road's Departments cease all efforts and drop all plans to open this road link and instead seeks to offer this strip of land for disposal to the Department of Education and Skills, as part of any land disposal involving lands at the former Esker Green Waster Recycling Facility, for the purposes of providing a safe drop-off and turning point for Gaelscoil Naomh Padraig and Coláiste Cois Life.

That this Council asks the Minister of State for housing to meet a delegation of local Cllrs. and housing staff to request him to review the Housing (miscellaneous) Act 1997 to allow for realistic and effective methods of dealing with the escalating anti-social problem in local authority housing.  The review to include effective measures to prohibit tenants engaging in said activities and to include measures to deal with same problem in privately owned houses in Council estates.
