QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Manager if he will agree to carry out the same extensive work that is being done to No 9 Quarry Road, Walkinstown for our elderly tenant living at *Details Supplied who is not well and needs his home to be insulated? Can the Manager say if he will carry out such improvements and possibly levy him the charge against his rent and will he make a statement on this request?"

 

REPLY:

A recent inspection was carried out on the house in question.  It was found that the windows and doors were in a poor condition but unfortunately the funding for the window and door replacement programme has been spent.  However, this house has been placed on the programme should future funding become available.  The insullation of the house was also in need of repair and arrangement have been put in place to have this carried out within the next month.
