That this Committee seek an up to date map regarding the Metro line (proposed) at Dunawley, Clondalkin in view of changes proposed to the route including details as to whether trains will cross at entrance to Dunawley or exit on to Fonthill Road.
REPORT:
The Railway Procurement Agency (RPA), on 22nd October 2010, applied to An Bord Pleanála for a Railway Order for Metro West (Old Blessington Road, Tallaght to Dardistown). The drawings, Environmental Impact Statement and other supporting material are available to view at the Civic Offices, Clondalkin, the County Hall, Tallaght and online at www.dublinmetrowest.ie
The proposed Metro West alignment runs parallel to and north of Dunawley Avenue. Travelling westwards the line crosses Oakwood Grove at a revised signalised junction to Dunawley Avenue and then runs northwards parallel to and east of the Fonthill Road.
