That this Committee resolves that the main gateway to Dublin, from Newlands Cross to the Red Cow Roundabout be improved and tidied up so as to give a better impression of Clondalkin and of South Dublin to the millions of motorists who pass this way each year. Of particular concern is the plethora of illegal signage, the broken down hoardings and the derelict properties at the St Brigid's Cottages (the ranch) area.
That the Manager presents a report to this Committee detailing the street litter bin emptying roster and investigates/proposes ways to improve the system which is clearly not working and inadequate for the Clondalkin Village area.
That the Manager meets with the Clondalkin Tidy Towns Committee every two months with an ongoing agenda with issues the CTT Committee may have. Councillors should also be invited to these meetings. This will free up CTT related business and allow for other business to be submitted to ACMs.
That this Committee commends all those who worked together to ensure that the poster ban during the recent referendum campaign was such a success. It was commented on by so may people that the absence of posters underlined the success of the recently established Tidy Towns group and emphasised the historic beauty of our village. All of the political parties abided by the voluntary ban and this is to their credit,. This Committee resolves that the poster ban would continue to be supported by all parties and organisations in the future.

To ask the Manager to specify the number of bins in the Clondalkin area from 2009 - present. Can the Manager also outline resources/finance available to this service since 2009 - to present?
That this Committee condemns the drastic cut in funding to the TALLAGHT YOUTH BAND and calls for re instatement of the full grant that positively provides for local children and young adults.
That the Manager acknowledges and liaises with the National Graves Association as they prepare to replace a more substantial plaque to commemorate the TALLAGHT MARTYRS 1867 on Main Street. To note that rare detailed archives are available on request from the N.G.A. Trustees which would complement existing accounts and enhance local history/heritage.

That the Manager report on the Shared-ownership scheme and any difficulties experienced by local people in keeping up their payments. Furthermore to consider those who are in arrears and face possibility of repossession ideally be housed as Tenants in their own home.
That the Manager give a report on what action(s) can be taken in the case of semi or abandoned homes that are not Council stock but attract anti-community behaviours that seriously disrupt and cause misery to surrounding neighbours.

That this Committee in light of the recent announcement by the OPW to fund the flood relief projects in West Tallaght pertaining to the flooding of Tallaght/Whitestown Stream at Jobstown and Killinarden and the installation of the wide swale in Killinarden Park to redirect water that drains from the Park into Knockmore Park - can the Manager provide a report detailing when these works will commence and an expected completion date.
