To request that the Manager provide a comprehensive report, to include the opinion of the Law Agent, on the situation of “right of way” legislation as it pertains to laneways that have been provided in former times to enable householders access the rear gardens of their properties and therefore are not “thoroughfares” for the general public and will not be less “rights of way” for the intended purpose if there is a controlled entrance to the laneway (i.e. a gate) over which all relevant and interested parties (i.e. all householders with access to the laneway as well as the Local Authority) have control?

That this Council reviews the efforts of this council in relation to support for the self-employed/sole traders and small businesses in the county
That this Council, again recognising the enormous environmental, health, and tourism benefits of the approx 5,000 acres of publicly-run forest areas in the Dublin Mountains area, reiterates its opposition to the privatisation of Coillte and states its opposition to the sell-off of its timber harvesting rights to private companies.
That this Council notes with regret the decision not to host a St Patrick's Day event in the county town this year; and that this Council calls on interested organisations and groups to come together with the support and backing of South Dublin County Council for events in Tallaght and elsewhere in the county for the 2014 celebrations.
That this Council congratulates the staff and volunteers involved in Opportunity to Transform Walk in Corkagh Park and supports efforts to encourage more people into parks around the County.
