That this Council increases the number of soccer and gaelic pitches and all weather pitches and associated changing facilities in Lucan to cater for the increasing size of local clubs.

That this Council inserts a specific objective in the Development plan to provide homeless shelters in each major population centre, including temporary accommodation and separate ‘wet’ centres for people suffering from drug or alcohol addiction.
That this Council inserts a specific objective in the Development plan to actively seek a grade separated junction at the Kennelsfort Road/N4 to allow greater community linkages with Palmerstown village and to facilitate free traffic flows to and from the city centre.

Access to Forest and Woodland Replace this with: Encourage, promote, provide and facilitate access to forestry and woodlands, including private forestry, in co-operation with Coillte, the Forest Service and other agencies, for walking routes (including long distance and looped walks), mountain trails, nature trails, mountain bike trails, bridle paths, hiking, orienteering and other non-noise generating recreational activities for the benefit of local people and tourists and take into account the Forest Service 2006 publication “Forest Recreation Guide for Owners and Managers”.

Trails, Hiking and Walking replace this with: Recognising the importance and potential of walking and cycling from a local as well as a tourism perspective, create, provide, promote, improve, develop, protect, sustain, support, enhance, encourage and facilitate the creation of a high quality dedicated network of cycling/walking routes and tourist trails(including looped walks, local walks, community walks and medium/long distance walks)and public/rural footpaths, in rural areas (including suitable linear lands along established rights of way, strategic green corridors and other off-road routes). Ensure that these routes are, where possible, free of vehicular traffic and are well-marked and maintained and are convenient, safe and pleasant. Enhance and extend existing routes, by utilising links from residential areas through parks and open spaces to facilitate a secure, safe green network and linking with Slí na Sláinte and existing or new public rights of way, to provide access to scenic, mountain, lakeshore and river features and views of special interest, particularly where these have a historical association and to open up diverse landscape. Create more people friendly places, walking/cycling routes should be designed to incorporate current thinking and best practice from experience in other locations. Off-road walkways can be established by informal, formal agreements with landowners or by acquisition.

This should be replaced by: Recognizing the role played by natural amenities and landscape, as part of our heritage and as a major resource both for visitors and local people, provide, support, maintain, promote, encourage, protect, preserve, improve, safeguard, facilitate and enhance public access to our natural heritage including mountains, commonage and other hill land, moorlands, forests, rivers, lakes, valleys, 2000 Natura sites, nature reserves, other natural amenities and to the countryside generally by creating a meaningful network of access routes as the opportunity or need arises. Consider appropriate rural recreational and tourism related developments which would facilitate public access to sensitive landscapes. This will be done in co-operation with state agencies, other interested bodies and local community groups.

That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the need for SDCC to develop a Graffiti App and method to indentify utility boxes if they are vandalised.
It shall be an objective of the 2016 - 2022 County Development Plan, in association with the NRA to install the proposed J8 on the M50 to promote development and alleviate traffic congestion and eliminate unwanted commercial traffic on Clondalkin Village, Palmerstown and the residential area of Cloverhill Road.
Greater pedestrian access to the hell fire club (Dublin Mountains) from the Oldcourt Road.
The Whitechurch Estate has an active sporting community in the boxing club and football club.
It would be a massive benefit to this area to have a dedicated sporting centre, one which could be used by both clubs.
It ideally would comprise a boxing ring, changing and shower facilities.
In addition, the football club were meant to have a junior pitch, which never materialised.
Perhaps this could be included in the development plan.
It is a policy of this Council to provide for step down accommodation following on from the success of Liscarne Court.
That the Council directs the Chief Executive to include a policy on the need for a Tourism Marketing & Management Plan for Rathfarnham so that there is a plan for attracting Tourists and Visitors to the area so that they can use Rathfarnham as a base to go to the Military Road and the Hellfire Club amongst other places.
