That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to introduce a pilot scheme in the Lucan EA whereby recycling bins are provided alongside general waste bins in public places and indoors in all buildings that have SDCC involvement in Lucan and Palmerstown, so as to prevent unnecessary materials going to landfil; and that this proposal be examined by the Environment SPC with a view to rolling out county-wide.

That this Council, in expressing our sympathy with the families all who have died on our roads, notes with grave concern a number of deaths of cyclists on roads in the county. We call on the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to allocate a substantially increased amount for cycling nationally. We note the need to improve cycling infrastructure and overall safety in this County and as Councillors we commit ourselves to providing, as far as is practicable and within our competency, funding, better planning, monitoring and maintenance of cycling infrastructure.
"That the Council carry out an inspection of all of the grit boxes in the Rathfarnham area and to carry out repairs to all of the boxes where necessary. Furthermore can the Council please ensure that all of the gritboxes are fully restocked as we enter into the Winter period."
"That the Area Committee requests the boundary wall at Ellensborough Meadows be repaired and that a fence be erected at the location."
