QUESTION NO. 6

QUESTION: Councillor Rob Russell

"To ask the Chief Executive how regularly Firhouse Village Park is tended to in terms of litter picking and general upkeep?"

REPLY:

"All roads around Firhouse Village, including adjacent green spaces, are cleaned by the Council's road sweeping contractor on a monthly basis.  During the grass cutting season which commences in March/April the Council's Public Realm Section clean the grass areas in question ahead of grass cutting taking place and this is done on a fortnightly basis.  The maintenance of planted areas is carried out as required and typically this is twice per year.  The maintenance arrangements in place in Firhouse will be examined to determine if improvements to the schedule of work are required."
