MOTION NO. 24

MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"That this Committee ask the Chief Executive to present a report for discussion on South Dublin Coun ty Council implementing an online system - the same or similar to DCC at http://www.dublincity.ie/housingonline that will let the public know where they are on the Housing list and if this motion is agreed by the Clondalkin Area Committee that it is brought to full Council as a headed item for agreement and discussion at full Council."

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council is currently in the process of implementing a new integrated housing management IT system.   We are not in a position to implement the suggested housing on line system with our current IT system. The matter will be considered again when the new management system is operating 

It is also worth noting that the Housing List is a 'live' list and changes due to the circumstances of the applicants from day to day.  For example a position will change due to family sizes increase or decrease or when changes to the applicants needs etc. (medical / homeless) are notified.  Where an applicant is placed on the list can change also change due to other applicant’s circumstances.
