That this Area Committee invites the Chief Executive to make a presentation to this Committee regarding possible alterations that could be made to current traffic layout in Lucan Village with particular regard to facilitating cycling to and from schools in the vicinity, in advance of the recommencement of the public consultation in relation to the Village Renewal Scheme.
That this Area Committee calls on The Chief Executive noting the imminent commencement of a second round of public consultations in relation to the Bus Connects project, to contact the NTA to ensure that such public consultations are carried out in an open and fair manner and do not exclude residents in areas impacted by the proposals and to invite representatives of the NTA and the project managers to address members of this County Council in a similar manner to the first consultation. In addition, that this Committee formally requests the Chief Executive to write to “Bus Connects” regarding their proposals to re-introduce the removal of the right turn (south bound turning west of the R136 onto N4,) which forms part of their Lucan to City Centre core bus corridor Section 6. The letter should inform them of the findings of the public consultation process which took place in 2017 for the same proposal where over 200 submissions where received from local residents. It would appear to be undemocratic to introduce this same proposal.

That the Chief Executive outlines a solution to facilitate AGP FC in the area adjacent to the multi-use games wall off the Newcastle Road, as while the SDCC maintains the grass area is for use by the general public, and not exclusively for the club, it has been used by AGP FC for its academy for some considerable time and the current landscaping means that the remaining grass section will not be suitable for football, even though the club says it was given a commitment that it would be.
