That this Committee calls on the Manager to urgently investigate and take action in conjunction with the Garda Authorities against  the daily use of the parklands  in Tymon/Aongus, between St Aongus Green, St Aongus Park and  the new houses on St Aongus Road, by scrambler and quad bikes which results in the green area and its surrounding footpaths becoming unsafe  and a no go area for the majority of  local children and their parents.

That this Committee notes with concern the new restrictions on the Council's Arboricultural Programme, calls on the Manager to investigate all possible funding sources for tree planting and asks the Manager to provide a report on tree pruning, removal and planting in this area detailing work over the past 5 years and plans for the coming year.

That this Council Committee, concerned at the ongoing problem of anti social behaviour and litter at Glenview Park and Lawns and concious of Council committments to local residents regarding the removal and trimming back of shrubbery and trees, calls on the Manager to give a report on the matter and his plans for the site.

That this Committee reiterates its support for the construction of the TASC Pavilion in Tymon Park, given the long delays faced by clubs in the Tallaght and Greenhills areas in securing these changing rooms, and calls on the Manager to report on work on plans for this pavilion carried out over the past 12 months, along with the future proposals to bring these plans to fruition.

That all necessary procedures be initiated with a view to revising the 50kph speed limit on Firhouse Road to 60kph, given the fact that the road is generally frontage free, is to a high standard, and an adjoining road (Spawell Bridge) is 60kph.
