QUESTION NO. 6

QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Manager, in view of the damage caused to Castletymon Road due to the adverse weather conditions, would the Manager indicate if an inspection has been carried out and if so, when permanent repairs will be carried out?"

REPLY:

Castletymon Road is one of a number of locations throughout the County where surface deterioration has occured as a result of the recent prolonged spell of sub-zero temperatures. The area has been inspected and a programme of repairs prepared. However a source of addition funding will have to be identified to enable the required repairs to be carried out. In the interim, emergency repairs will be carried out where required.
