Public Realm
Questions
"To ask the Chief Executive to please inform this Committee what steps and preventative measures can be put in place to stop the illegal use and vandalism of our public parks and green areas by motorbike scramblers and quads. These uninsured vehicles now pose a threat to life and limb and present a huge nuisance problem for local residents?"
"To ask the Chief Executive if he would now confirm the schedule being followed in respect of the proposed Playground at Tymon Park Tallaght; will he appreciate the frustration of the local community in respect of the continued delay in dealing with the matter and bringing the project to a successful conclusion to the satisfaction of the local community?"

Motions
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to arrange the planting of hedging along the wall at the rear of 12 Alderwood Court and other houses that back on to this wall. There is, according to residents, persistent dumping in this area. The residents are of the opinion that if this hedging was put in place it may stop that level of dumping at this area. There have also been break-ins in the area and it may make it more difficult for people to get over the wall if a hedge was put in place.
That this Committee should enforce the confiscation with penalties for the illegal use of motorbike scramblers and quads in our public parks and green spaces.
Environment
Questions
"To ask the Chief Executive if a full cleansing of the area around the kissing gates at the top of Avonbeg Drive can take place as a matter of urgency. I have been contacted by several residents in the area who complain that there is a large amount of litter which has gathered around the gates and the wall into the road leading from the field?"
"To ask the Chief Executive what plans does the Council have to cut back the undergrowth either side of the Oldbawn bridge so that the waterfall can be viewed safely from inside the park? The stick the Council is being beaten with in relation to putting a Sports Pavillion in Dodder Park is its lack of drainage of the pitches and general maintenance in the park. The fact that Oldbawn Bridge is almost completely obscured from inside the Park by undergrowth is a case in point.
"To ask the Chief Executive if, in respect of the proposed Pavilion at Dodder Valley Park Tallaght, he will now confirm what considerations he has given to the representations received from the local community particularly Old Bawn Residents Association and Parkwood Residents Association and will he now confirm the schedule being followed in respect of this important project for the local community?"

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to give assurances that he will do everything possible to ensure that cover is provided in each case where a School Warden is unable to attend for duty, will he appreciate the difficulties experienced when a School Warden is withdrawn and in reporting will he also confirm plans to provide additional School Wardens this calendar year in the Tallaght area.
That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to consider the removal of the road bollards on Dromcarra Avenue and Bawnlea Avenvue due to the amount of burnt out cars and illegal dumping of household refuse. Where the bollards are placed have effectively made these areas cul de sacs and encourages such behaviour.
