QUESTION: Councillor N. Coules

"To ask the Chief Executive if it is feasible to impose a weight restriction on vehicular through Saggart Village in view of the chronic traffic problems afflicting Saggart?"

REPLY:

There is no evidence to date indicating that a weight restriction is warranted for traffic in Saggart Village. However, an assessment will be made in accordance with the Council Policy Document on "The Mobility and Management of Heavy Goods Vehicles on South Dublin County Road Network" and a report will be brought to a future Traffic Management Meeting.
