This council resolves that the Chief Executive write to the Department of Housing to request increased and multi-annual funding for the local authority Energy Efficiency Retrofitting Programme, in order to more effectively reach 2030 and 2050 national climate targets.
This Committee notes and acknowledges the public realm improvements as part of the active travel scheme on Butterfield Avenue. However these improvements have highlighted the need for the upgrading of existing footpaths, the entrance to Anne Devlin Road, entrance to Butterfield Grove and existing potholes along the avenue. This Committee requests that this area is included in the next works programme and the necessary repairs and upgrading takes place.
This Committee notes with concern the continued vacancy of the completed units at the bottom of Grange Road / Nutgrove Avenue in Rathfarnham. As the Committee understands the application under the Capital Advance Leasing Facility has been with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for over six months with no progress made. This Committee requests that the South Dublin County Council executive write to the Minister for Housing to sanction the application and allow the units be occupied.
