To ask the Chief Executive what steps are taken to promote Community Development Grants and to encourage new applications in the Rathfarnham / Templeogue / Firhouse / Bohernabreena area?
REPLY:
The Community Development Grants 2026 are now live and are promoted across all SDCC social media platforms and in all Community Centres to ensure local promotion. The PPN also promoted to all on their register.
To support applicants, the Community Development team have been delivering a series of workshops for both new and existing groups. These workshops provided guidance on:
- The recent amendments to the application process
- The different funding streams available
- How to complete and submit a strong application
Workshops have been delivered both in person and online to ensure accessibility for all groups.
Dates, times, and locations have been advertised across SDCC social media platforms and in all Community Centres.
