That this Area Committee address the issue of the roadworks at the entrance to Lealand estate in Bawnogue. The builders have the road reduced to 1 vehicles width and there is no one directing traffic. There have been a few near accidents already from it. It seems very dangerous how they have the junction blocked.

That this Council calls on the Chief Executive to ensure that the review of the 'Living with Trees' policy includes a framework for addressing the impact of tree root systems on public infrastructure, particularly footpaths, identifying and prioritising locations where damage has occurred – setting out criteria for the phased removal and replacement of trees with species more appropriate for urban settings.

Motion

Submitted by:
Councillor L. McCrave
Responsibility:
Brendan Redmond

That this Council writes to DLRCC to request their Parks Department co-operation to extend the Parklands at Ely Gate from the former boundary of the Representative Church of Ireland Body, which was already designated for an Open space Parkland, thus creating a small Linear Park with a natural habitat for wildlife. The ordinance survey map presently is incorrect in relation to the County Boundary between Dodder Road Lower and the R112 Dodder Park Road/Braemor Road. The two numbered bridges on Dodder road Lower DR-LP3024-00 and Dodder Park /Braemor Road DR-R112-004.00 marks the culvert carrying the Little Dargle - Castle Stream under the Boundaries Commission, marking the boundary and not the present fencing. We are short approximately 4 metres East. In this area could a natural wood Play space and Fitness Area for Adults and Seniors be put in, to serve the community within the area and encourage visitors to the quiet nature and peacefulness of Ely Gate.
