That the Manager present a report on Newcastle Manor, the construction and completion problems and on what can be done to ensure that the developer carries out his duties as soon as possible.

That this Council makes appropriate provision to ensure a suitable footpath is provided the entire length of the Newcastle Road from Lucan Village past Lucan Sarsfields GAA Club and Lucan Pitch and Putt Club, as far as the Canal.

That this Committee recommmends that South Dublin County Council appoints an extra litter warden for the Lucan/ Clondalkin area.

That the Lucan/Clondalkin Area Committee is concerned about ongoing problems with illegal parking in and around Lucan Village, including parking on footpaths and double yellow lines, and about apparent lack of co-ordination between the agency responsible for the implementation of the Council's Pay Parking Scheme and the the Traffic Warden Service, and requests the Roads Department to meet with An Garda Siochana in regard to the enforcement of parking regulations by the Traffic Warden service.

That the Manager would report in further detail on works scheduled for the restoration of footpaths, tarmacadam areas and kerbing on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown.  Would the Manager please note the concerns of the Local Community on Kennelsfort Road regarding any plans to introduce parking bays, given that the preferred option of Local Residents with whom I have consulted with to-date, is for restoration works without the addition of parking bays.

That this Committee calls upon the Manager to detail the development levies received for road enhancement works from the developer of the St. Loman’s site and to immediately provide funding to the Roads Department to provide a traffic lights junction at the Fonthill Roundabout in line with the EIS carried out in respect of the application.
