That this Council agree to initiate a pilot programme of a community warden service which involves a permanent presence of Council Community Wardens in areas which have need of such a service.  Particular regard to be made to the needs of the elderly and vulnerable and the supervision of play and amenity areas for the benefit of all.  This programme could save money for this Council by preventing vandalism and dumping which is a major cost for this Council and would enhance the social and visual amenity.

"That this Committee recommends that the pavements in Templeogue Village be upgraded - taking into consideration that we will be erecting a sculpture in the Village in the Autumn it would be fitting to have the footpath area paved/ renewed.  This work was not carried out as part of the Village Renewal Scheme and should now be undertaken. The footpaths are dangerous as well as unsightly.  Rathfarnham Village, Rosemount, St. Peters Road and Templeville shops have all recently been completed to a very high standard. The historical village of Templeogue deserves a facelift."
