To ask the Manager if he will advise the Area Committee on what services are available from the Council to residents in recently taken-in-charge estates in Lucan who are having problems with blocked drains on their own property, where the drainage system is connecting to a number of adjacent houses, and where the cause of the blockage is either due to faults in the drainage system or residents in neighbouring houses disposing of inappropriate materials down toilet bowls?

How many arrests have been made in the Terenure-Rathfarnham area and in the wider county?

How many charges have been successfuly prosecuted?

What, if any, special measures have been taken to combat graffiti?

2.  How much revenue has been generated from speeding fines nationally and if possible , to state how much revenue has been generated in the DMR for the priods 2006 and 2007 and where this revenue is channelled?

That this Committee calls on the Manager responsible to accelerate the development of Waterstown Park as it is now in excess of 29 years in Council ownership and is the focal point of serious anti-social behaviour and is being taken over by motorcyclists and quaddies especially at week-ends and despite the provision of pathways etc not only are members of the public hesitant to use it due to the anti-social behaviour, but neighbouring residents have had to put up with a lot of intimidation and unruly behaviour which needs to be addressed by our Parks Department in conjunction with An Garda Síochana.
