Questions
To ask the Manager why the graffiti on the overhead gantries on the N4 as well as on the road signs at Palmerstown has not been removed given that it is there now for several months and to have it removed without delay as it gives a very poor impression at this gateway to the County.
To ask the Manager to pass on the compliments of the people of Palmerstown to the handcart/mechanical sweeper person who is doing such a wonderful and dedicated job in the Village, Kennelsfort Road and its environs and to contact the Petrol Service outlet on Kennelsfort Road requesting that they keep the vicinity of their premises, especially the footpaths and approaches clean and tidy and that they restore the footpath to a safe standard?
To ask the Manager for an updated report on the installation of a new system of water pipes leading to houses in Dodsboro and when the works will be completed?

That the Manager acknowledge the sewage infrastructure difficulties at (details supplied separately) and the regular inconvenience associated with these problems owing to the lack of fall-away in the pipes, and that the Manager would agree that works are required to be carried out outside these houses to rectify this problem. That the Manager would also agree that no further payments should be requested in the meantime from the residents concerned until these works are carried out outside the gardens concerned.
That this Committee calls for the reinstatement of the dust cart service back into Quarryvale and the Harelawn area and calls for this service to be extended to the Neilstown shopping area which is an eye sore of litter waste.
This Committee requests South Dublin County Council to investigate the flooding of the rear gardens of houses in Castle Close, Clondalkin which back on to Castleview Road during the periods of heavy rain and to work towards a solution to the problem.
That a report be given regarding the cost to this Council of junk collections before and after Hallow'een
That the Manager report on how many fines have issued and the total cost to offenders of:
1) using the bring banks where plastic bags have been left
2) residents leaving a lid on a bin open
3) any other fines available to the public
That this Committee acknowledges the importance of the control of litter and illegal dumping, and an efficient system for the collection of household waste and recycling material, and requests the Manager to make a report outlining the measures to be implemented by the Council, in the Lucan and Clondalkin Electoral Areas, to monitor the implementation of the Council's Bye-Laws in regard to Household Waste Presentation and what steps will be taken to advise residents of the measures to be taken.
That this Committee notes the increased extent of litter on the roads, and in the parks and open spaces, in Greenfort, Shancastle and Old Tower Estates, and requests the Manager for a report on the measures taken to keep these areas tidy, by way of regular cleansing and special cleansing measurers?

This Committee believes that there is an urgent and important need to provide Playground and Outdoor Play facilities for children living in the Council's new estates in Balgaddy and asks the Manager if he will make a statement on the matter?

That this Council will endeavor to liaise with tenants and their representatives in relation to rent arrears and the possibility of evictions and to liaise with elected representatives on the Council as to the current situation in which we receive an email with the treat of evictions only to be notified that arrangements have been made at the 11th hour with the tenant. Also to complete an exhausted procedure where face to face meetings are attended by representatives of the tenant and a health cert be acquired to same and that court cases be a very last resort before eviction. Can a monetary committee be set be set up to identify tenant's entering serious arrears?
That the Manager reports on whether or not it is sustainable, in light of the SDZ designation, to offer Home Choice Loans to first time buyers for new homes.
That this Committee calls on the Housing Manager to state what the delay is in housing applicants in the Kilcronan infill housing project and when will these units be allocated?
That a site meeting be arranged for St. Ronan's Way/Close lane way as anti social activities continue to cause fear for local residents.
That this Committee requests the Manager to write to the Minister responsible asking that the policy of not permitting purchasers of Affordable Housing to trade up when their circumstances dictate that they move to new location or larger residence.

That the Manager presents a report on the Corkagh Park Fishery comparing and contrasting its success between the present and previous tenant.
That the Manager give an up to date report on the implementation of the Village Renewal Scheme for Palmerstown Village and to include a brief summary of the work to date including any consultations that have taken place with the local traders and/or residents.

That this Committee expresses in the strongest possible terms its outrage with this Government for reneging on its promise to provide funding for the Lucan Swimming Pool, incorporated in the new Lucan Sports and Leisure Centre. This is a facility that I and the Lucan community have identified many years ago, as required to enhance the quality of life of the people of Lucan and their families. That this Committee also supports the Manager in his efforts to negotiate governmnent funding for our Swimming Pool, including through the Swimming Pool Programme, and requests that the Manager agrees to bring back by way of a Headed Item to a further meeting, either to this Area Committee, the Full Council or the Strategic Policy Committee on Sports, Recreation and Community, including Parks, as soon as there any further developments on this crucial issue for Lucan.
That this Committee repeats its call on the Government to provide specific funding to finance the operation of the Dual Purpose Sports Complexes in the County, including the Complexes at Collinstown Park and Palmerstown, at a level which will ensure that the Complexes are open to the full extent to meet demands of community organisations, sports clubs, individuals and other groups, and requests the Manager to provide an updated report on consultation with Government Ministers or Ministers of State on the matter.
That the Manager provide a report on the Collinstown Community College Sports Hall and its running costs and outline how much or what percentage this Council is willing to contribute towards its funding.
