QUESTION NO 1.

QUESTION: Councillor S. Crowe

"To ask the manager in view the visual  prominance of the area between the footpath and the boundary railings running parrallel with the footpath along the N81 will he agree to investigate where responsability  for the maintenance and upkeep resides and calls on him to submit a report as a headed item for the next relevent meeting on the issue.?"   

REPLY:

The area referred to in the Question consists of a roadside grass margin situated along the N81, which was damaged a number of years ago during works on the installation of a cycle route.  The margin was also affected by the construction of a wall associated with an adjoining residential development fronting the Road. This area has now been taken into regular maintenance by the Parks Department.
