That the Manager produce a report on whether there is County Council owned land between the grounds of Colaiste Chilliain / Gaelscoil Chluain Dolcain and the New Nangor/ Fonthill Roads and on how the Council might respond to a request to dispose of those lands to the two above-mentioned schools and Scoil na Camoige when it moves to that site.

To ask the Manager for an update on the restoration of the Lucan Road and footpaths from the Village to the end of the Cul de Sac (at the No 18 Bus Terminus) including the former derelict site that has been used as a temporary Bus Terminus now that the M50/N4 works at this location are nearing completion and to note that the residents have had to endure repeated disruption over the past ten years and during that period both the footpaths and the road surface have been seriously damaged and are in need of restoration? The footpath and kerb between Waterstown Avenue and the RC Church are especially dangerous and a health and safety hazard. The road also requires speed limit signs (and I have previously requested traffic calming which is to be examined as part of the Village renewal) as this is also the main pedestrian and cycle route to the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre for the Palmerstown area.

While thanking the Manager for the ongoing work of liaison with Dublin City Council, I now ask the Manager to have the traffic lights brought into sequence at the Coldcut/Kennelsfort Road-Cloverhill Road/Coldcut and Liffey Valley/Coldcut junctions.  Can the white box be restored at the Cloverhill/Coldcut junction and to carry out the other improvements to help the traffic flow but not only on Kennelsfort Road as was promised on foot of my earlier motions as this matter is dragging on much to the detriment of the quality of life of the residents of Palmerstown?

That the Manager would present a detailed report for discussion on what issues, if any, would need to be addressed should it be the will of the Councillors as part of the review of the current County Development Plan 2004-2010, that the small piece of land adjacent to Gaelscoil Naomh Padraig not be used as a link road from Esker Meadow View to Esker Lane, particularly as the extension to the N4 from Esker Lane has been closed as part of the N4 Road Widening Scheme. How would these issues if any be addressed?
