It is noted that this road link was successfully and safely reopened to facilitate the recent Lucan Festival. It is also noted that in their submission on the amendments to the draft Development Plan the NRA indicated that they “remain available to discuss the situation with the Council” (submission ref. 0023).
To ask the Manager if he will provide a report on the problem of illegal dumping in Lucan and Palmerstown, giving information on the extent of illegal dumping in 2010 compared to recent years, an account of the measures taken by the Council to address the problem, and a figure, even if approximate, of the cost to the Council in removing illegally dumped material (as distinct from litter) in 2010?
To ask the Manager for a report on the number of Council Community Workers assigned to the Lucan EA and a summary of the organisations and groups with which the Community Workers are working/providing support?
To ask the Manager if he will consider, and investigate, the possibility of the Council renting land from the owners of the Clonburris and Adamstown SDZ, in view of the probability that substantial proportions of these lands are likely to remain undeveloped during the next 5 years, for the purpose of providing allotments, under short lease terms, to persons from Lucan and Palmerstown on the Council's waiting list for allotments?

That this Committee calls on the Manager to commit to the removal of all bonfire debris in the Tallaght area by the end of November, given that the bonfires may re-emerge and that the majority of the population who are law abiding and concerned about their environment are suffering because of this dismal landscape created by the few and if necessary engage with local voluntary groups to assist in the removal of material.
To ask the Manager to arrange for the removal of hedging along the Celbridge Road at Kew Park estate i.e. “ the Daisy Patch” and for the removal of hedging leading to Weston Park Estate from this area. The removal of this hedging will help mitigate localised problems relating to vermin infestation and anti-social behaviour?
To ask the Manager if the traffic survey I requested into traffic movements between the junction at the N4/Oval and the junction of Kennelsfort Road/Wheatfield Road in both directions has been completed and when will it be brought before this Committee?
To ask the Manager if he will make a report on any representations received from individual residents in Rosse Court, Lucan, and or the Management Company for the development, regarding incidents of anti-social behaviour, if the Council has had any discussions with An Garda Síochana or the Developer, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

That this Committee calls on the Manager to write to the owners of *ADDRESS SUPPLIED, encouraging them to release the property to the market at a realistic price in order to actually sell it and remove the extreme nuisance the vacant property has caused for neighbouring families in the two years since they have allowed it to remain vacant.

That this Area Committee calls on the Manager to instruct the owner of the semi-derelict cottages at the entrance to St. Brigid's Lane to restore or demolish same (access from slip road at the Naas Road, Clondalkin).
To ask the Manager to have the writing on the name stone at the entrance to Kennelsfort Green restored as it has become invisible and a number of public service vehicles have had serious difficulties in locating houses in the estate recently, luckily there was not any tragedy as a result, but there could have been?
To ask the Manager to arrange the examination of the recently installed distribution box outside No 39 Oak Court Lawns as it is already a focal point for anti-social behaviour and appears to have been installed without any consideration for the impact it may have locally. Secondly, does such a retro-fit of a public utility require planning permission or/and does the local authority have to be consulted and if yes was it and what was the input into the decision to locate at this point?

That this Committee requests the Manager to report on any recent discussions with members of the Presbyterian Church in Lucan, regarding its intentions to build a Sheltered Housing Facility on its lands at Primrose Lane, Lucan as supported by the Council's inclusion of a Local Objective in the new and previous County Development Plan, and if there has not been any recent discussions that the Manager write to the Presbyterian Church in Lucan, confirming that the Local Objective has been included in the Plan, and advising that Lucan EA Councillors are supportive of the realization of the Objective.

That this Committee requests the Manager to write to the Department of Education and Skills, drawing its intention to the policy statement in the new County Development Plan supporting the location of Childcare/Crèche Facilities on or adjacent to Primary School campuses, and recommending to the Department that in planning its next permanent Primary School in Lucan, in particular at the site acquisition stage, it gives serious consideration to providing for a Childcare/Crèche Facility adjacent to the school.
To ask the Manager if there has been any discussions between the Planning Department and the owners of the Liffey Valley Town Centre, who made the Planning Application recently rejected by An Bord Pleanala, and if he will make a statement on the matter?
