QUESTION NO. 3

QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave

"To ask the Manager to include the removal of the large tree at the side of 13 Knocklyon Avenue in the tree removal programme. There are also two, tree stumps and large tree roots still not removed at the side and front of the same house?"

REPLY:

The current Arboricultural Works Programme is complete.  The programme for 2011/2012 will be based on unfinished work from the 2010/2011 programme as well as the items that were promised to be considered for inclusion in a future programme.  When the Draft Programme is available in September/October it will be discussed with the Elected Members before being formally brought to the Council as the Arboricultural Works Programme 2011/2012.  This will allow for an enhanced input by the Elected Members into the preparation of the Final agreed programme.

The tree referred to will be included in the Draft Programme.  The tree stumps and the roots referred to will be addressed in June 2011.
