To ask the Manager if he will arrange for an inspection of the time periods allowed for traffic going through the Kennelsfort Road/N4 Junction, in particular if he will assess if sufficient time is allowed for vehicles crossing the N4 to and from Palmerston Village, and if he will also clarify the position regarding vehicles coming along the N4 from the Lucan direction, and doing a U-Turn, because they have missed or been confused by signage at the N4/M50 roundabout?

That, in view of the fact that over 4400 residents of Lucan and Palmerston are on the Live Register, most of whom are seeking employment, this Committee requests the Manager to write to the Department of Social Protection seeking a progress report on the provision of an adequate Social Welfare Office in Lucan, and proposing that a dedicated LES Service be provided to serve the area.

To ask the Manager to provide an update on the pressing need to provide safe pedestrian crossing points on both Fonthill Road and Bothair an Life, close to the St. Loman's Road junction, so as to improve safety for pedestrians seeking to walk between nearby areas of Lucan and Liffey Valley town centre and in particular for residents of St. Edmunds seeking to walk safely to and from the bus-stops on the N4 corridor?

To ask the Manager to relocate the dished kerb at the corner of Colthurst Crescent (just north of junction with Colthurst Mews) as previously requested at the May 2011 Traffic Management Meeting.  Residents seeking to cross the road via the existing dished kerb are unable to see oncoming traffic coming from the direction of the estate entrance?

To ask the Manager to give an update on proposals to cost the option of bringing power into Griffeen Valley Park for a timer-controlled locking mechanism on the pedestrian gate at Griffeen Glen Park/Elm Green and to add posts/boulders at either side of this gate to dissuade speedy approach to the gate by scrambler bikes, etc?
