MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor C. Bond

That this Council  addresses the issue with the drain located on the land behind Ely Drive, Oldcourt.  As it is causing flooding problems during heavy rain.

REPORT:

The Drainage Section is having great difficulty in assessing the land/field at the top of Ely Drive cul de sac, Oldcourt where there is a high solid wall. This area is not assessable either from the Oldcourt Cottages. The Drainage Section is trying to ascertain who the owner of these land is and get remedial works carried out by the riparian owner if possible as the ditches at the back of 35 Ely Drive which flooded on the 24th of October 2011 form part of the Oldcourt Steam before it is piped/culverted down to the Dodder River.
